Blackjack players who want to be sure they can get in on a quick game are visiting the Hollywood Casino in Aurora, Illinois. Back in 2007 the casino began offering blackjack players the option of reserving a table so they are sure to get in on the betting action.

Players can reserve the tables for $20 an hour and play at $5 minimum bet tables. The casino created the reservation blackjack for visitors to be able to play even on the busiest of days. The idea worked because it can be hard to find a blackjack table in the Chicago area.

Only one table is a reservation blackjack table at the casino and it is open seven days a week. Alan Rosenzweig the Vice President of Marketing commented: "We find that the lure of the program is less the reservation aspect and more so the limit aspect. Individual players, couples and small groups of friends are more or less the people who go after the table.”

The reservation blackjack table is exclusively the Hollywood’s idea and reservations can be made up to thirty days in advance. If the tables are not full then players can pay $20 to be a walk in player and have a seat at the table.
