Las Vegas Casino to Protect Blackjack Dealers from Smoke
For a while now dealers at casinos have been complaining about their health due to the fact that many casino patrons smoke and they are inhaling smoke in close proximity with the patrons on a daily basis. Dealers feel the casinos need to take measures to protect their health and one Las Vegas Casino has done so.

The CityCenter’s Aria casino is owned by the MGM Mirage and they have changed their blackjack tables for the better. The blackjack tables will now feature an air curtain that will shoot straight up from the table to divide players who smoke from the blackjack dealers.

Cindy Ortega an official at the MGM Mirage commented this was the best thing next to banning smoking from the casino altogether. A Union official, Joe Carbon, stated that air curtain sounds like a good idea.

Ortega also commented that even though smoking is allowed at the Aria, non smokers will find pathways designated just for them so they do not encounter the smoke. The paths are separated by twenty five feet of non smoking space on both sides. She commented that visitors to the casino can go from one end of the Aria to the other and not encounter any smoke.
