iPhone Blackjack Card Counter Application Sales Increase
A while back we reported that the popular iPhone had created an application that could be downloaded to help players count cards, aptly named the Blackjack Card Counter. Casinos went into a tizzy once the card counter was released and went so far as to ban the phones from their casinos. New reports have now surfaced that the application is selling like hot cakes and sales have increased significantly.Travis Yates of Australia created the Blackjack Card Counter and it can be downloaded for very little money from the iPhone. The Nevada Gaming Control Board has stayed on top of the application and is keeping casinos in Las Vegas up to date on the news.
But it seems the flurry of activity over the application has made people curious to see what all the fuss is about. Yates commented that he created the software to “help people practice card counting and use it with friends at home”.
Randall Sayre of the Nevada Gaming Board commented that the card counter makes card counting at a casino ‘accurate’ and ‘easy’. But I wouldn’t go trying it in a casino but definitely at home if blackjack is your game!
