Electronic table games are becoming increasingly popular and many casinos around the United States are adding them it seems on a weekly basis. One version of the electronic table game that is very popular is the blackjack version. The Desert Rose Casino in Alturas, California has added the electronic blackjack machine created by TableMAX and recently held the first every electronic blackjack tournament.

Twenty five people competed in the tournament and a local player won the grand prize. The Desert Rose not only held the first tournament but they also were the first casino to add the Progressive Blackjack game in the state of California.

The allure of the electronic table game is that players can play their favorite game and be connected to a progressive jackpot. When the player places a wager they can win the bet as well as the progressive jackpot if they are lucky.

Shawn Normington the General Manager for the Desert Rose commented: "In the five years I have been the GM at Desert Rose, no event has even been close to this successful. This tournament exceeded my highest expectations. And our players love the game even when there's not a tournament. It's definitely been a fantastic addition to our casino."
