Blackjack Plans Delayed for Tampa Florida Seminole Hard Rock
According to a recent news report in Florida, the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa has decided to delay plans to add new card games to their casino. These games mainly would consist of Blackjack. Officials are not sure when plans to add the games will resume.

The St. Petersburg Times reported that the Tampa casino was scheduled to bring blackjack and other new card games to their casino by the end of this year. Due to a recent state Supreme Court ruling in July, the casino must place their plans on hold. The ruling found that Governor Charlie Crist had overstepped constitutional authority when he let the Seminole tribe offer card games that were illegal in other areas of the state.

Officials with the Seminole tribe are now trying to make a deal with legislative leaders to allow them the right to offer the card games such as blackjack. Until the tribe can strike a deal, the plans will be on hold indifferently.

It may not be such a bad thing that the tribe cannot add the new games yet. With the economy in its current state many customers may not have the means to visit the casino and wager money for the new card games. It may be in their best interest to post pone the additions until next year if the economy has made significant changes.
