Blackjack Dealer Arrested in Counterfeit Money Scheme
Most of the time dealers at casinos are colorful people who joke and make the playing experience more enjoyable. But sometimes, dealers are a little shady and decide to break the laws of the casinos or ethics. One blackjack dealer was recently arrested in an alleged counterfeit scheme. Twenty six year old Chi Yang of Carmichael worked as a blackjack dealer at Red Hawk Casino when he was recently accused of accepting counterfeit money knowing it was fake. Yang was arrested early Friday morning and booked on several accounts which include burglary, forgery and embezzlement.
It is believed by authorities that Yang and a few accomplices got away with taking several thousand dollars from the Red Hawk Casino. The casino became suspicious of Yang when they found a drop box from his table contained fake one hundred dollar bills.
It is expected that more people will be arrested in the scheme and more details should soon come to light in the case.
